How do you handle posing?

What is a boutique photographer?

My venue requires liability insurance, are you insured?

Unless you are a model, posing often looks try-hard and awkward. We opt for art direction, capturing your effortless elegance and guiding you along the way to boost your confidence and take your photos from inauthentically posed, to refined pieces of art reflecting your union. 

Boutique photographers offer personalized full-service photography to a limited number of clients, creating unique experiences through creative sessions and state-of-the-art keepsakes. Typically, we limit our wedding clients each year to provide more attention and care, with a capacity of 24 clients per year.
Yes, we are fully insured and share that information with each of our client’s venues. 

Have you shot at my venue?

We may not have shot a wedding at your venue, but our experience in shooting weddings in various situations means we are prepared for anything. Many photographers struggle with unfamiliar wedding traditions, but our team is experienced with all kinds of venues and cultural/religious traditions, ensuring confidence in our abilities.

Do you shoot video?

Our focus and expertise is in photography only. We do have excellent cinematographers that could fit with you as a couple, simply ask for the recommendation when you book with us.

How long will I have access to my images online?

How do you secure the images after the wedding day?

Can I see a full wedding gallery?

Your online gallery will be available for a minimum of 1 year. However, we suggest downloading the full gallery as soon as possible for your own safekeeping.
While shooting, our cameras will shoot to a CF card and a backup SD card simultaneously. We will upload those photos to a drive to be edited and keep the original photos on the cards until your gallery is delivered online. 
Yes! We don’t take a “one size fits all” approach. We create a basic template for you to add or subtract as you see fit. 

Can I customize my wedding collection?

Do you charge for travel or multiple locations?

We learn about your destination and celebration before we discuss travel plans. After that, we will customize a quote based on the location and number of shooting days. The travel quote is then added to your selected collection, and we handle all of our own travel arrangements unless otherwise specified. Travel is not included in our initial pricing unless otherwise specified. 

What is your payment plan?

To secure your wedding date, a 30% retainer and an electronic signature of the agreement is required. Another 30% payment is due 6 months before the big day, with the remaining amount being due 30 days before the wedding. Custom payment options are also available after reserving your date.

Do I need to make a "shot list" of my desired photos?

While not necessary, we love to collaborate with couples and their planners who want to share their desired aesthetic with a mood board. We will also have a creative design meeting where we go over any special people, planned moments, or unique details you’d like to capture to keep us in the loop.

Do you have a Cancellation Policy?

Cancellations for both weddings and photography sessions are handled on a case by case basis. In most cases, photography sessions are fully refundable. Wedding retainers are non-refundable.

How do you handle Rescheduling?

Session reschedules are permissible if requested prior to a week before the session date (unless there is an emergency). Wedding rescheduling must be prior to 120 days before the original date, and is subject to availability.

I have a dog. Can I bring a pet to my session?

This session is about you. If you would like to include someone you are incredibly close to, we can accommodate that. However, if you are uncomfortable with public displays of affection, we suggest you refrain from inviting others.

Can I bring other people to my session?

You sure can. Be sure to bring treats and a caretaker to assist. You don’t want your dog stealing your spotlight!

Can I reserve you for other wedding related gatherings?

What happens if it rains?

We work in tandem with your planner to secure a solid plan for alternate portrait locations, just to ensure we won’t need them. If finding a secondary location for photos is necessary, we will make sure that gets secured as well.

What happens if Wisteria gets sick or has some sort of emergency right before the wedding?

Leading up to a wedding, we carefully plan for any worst case scenarios. If Wisteria is prevented from being able to attend your wedding, we will do our best to arrange a replacement photographer of equivalent style—we have a network of trusted associates on standby. Alternatively, if you prefer to make your own arrangements we would return your full investment.
We schedule our arrival on location at least the morning prior to the first event we’re shooting domestically in the US. For international events we usually schedule our arrival for 2-3 days prior to the first event. This allows us to plan for delayed travel, and location scouting for the wedding and other shooting locations. Also, it allows us to get detailed shots beforehand to allow for more photos the day of your wedding.

When will you arrive at our wedding location?

Yes! All of our photoshoots and weddings include images made available to you the same day.

Our preparation process is as convenient and low risk as possible for you, so that in the unlikely event you lose faith in our ability to deliver on our promise, you don’t feel slighted as we part ways amicably.

What happens if I'm not satisfied with the service?

How long does it take to get the prints and albums?

We schedule an album design meeting with our clients within weeks of their wedding to go through the design and make real time changes. When the final design is perfect, your album will be in hand within 4 weeks.
A preview of images will be provided to you the same day. The full assortment of proofs will be available within 4 weeks, allowing you to share, download, and begin the album design process. You will receive all photos in their highest resolution format with the ability to print them. RAW images are available to purchase separately. 

When will I receive my images? Will you give me the raw photos?

The final images included in the gallery will only omit test shots, out of focus shots, duplicates, or shots with unflattering features such as blinking, sneezing, etc. On average, portrait sessions will deliver approximately 120 photos. Weddings will include approximately 700 - 1200 photos, depending on the amount of coverage.

Do the proofs and online gallery include all of the images you take or do you provide a limited number of images?

The images are subjected to color correction and exposure adjustment in their final set. If you choose to order prints or include them in an album, they will undergo further individual color and exposure adjustments as well as basic retouching to remove blemishes, touch up under-eyes, remove distracting hair, or perform slight cropping. We strive for a natural and unretouched look and keep adjustments to a minimum to showcase your celebration beautifully. 

Do these images include retouching, color adjustment or other corrective services?


IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL FEE FOR retouching, color adjustment or other corrective services?

For more extensive retouching needs such as wardrobe, hair, makeup, head swapping, or background alterations, we offer professional retouching services at a rate of $150/hour. We will provide a quote for your approval before proceeding with any additional work.
